Holy Week of Biancavilla / A sira dei Tri Misteri

In 2025, the Holy Week of Biancavilla once again presented the entire sequence of traditional rites. The Living Stations of the Cross on Palm Sunday opened the celebrations, followed by the rites of Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. On the evening of Good Friday, the procession of the Tri Misteri crossed the historic center with the eight sculptural groups carried on shoulders by the confraternities, while Easter Sunday concluded with the rite of A Paci. The events, inscribed in the Intangible Heritage Register of the Sicily Region, attracted faithful and visitors to the town on the slopes of Mount Etna in the province of Catania.
