Holy Week – Lu N'Contru of Jesus and Mary

The 2025 Holy Week in Gibellina, in the province of Trapani, concluded with its most heartfelt rites. On Good Friday, April 18, the Procession of the Mysteries of the Passion departed from the Church of San Giuliano in the afternoon, crossing the town streets. On Easter Sunday, April 20, following the Eucharistic celebration and the blessing of the Angel, the evocative "N'Contru" between the statues of Jesus and Mary took place, followed by the procession toward the Mother Church. In 2025, the tradition, promoted by the Congregation of Jesus and Mary, once again united memory, identity, and popular participation.
