Holy Week 2025 in Vicari

The 2025 edition took place from April 13 (Palm Sunday) to April 20 (Easter), following the traditional pattern of Vicari rites. The blessing of the palms in the square of the Church of San Vito opened the week, followed by the procession to the Mother Church.

On Holy Wednesday, the "sepulchres" were set up in the churches, decorated with flowers, plants, and the characteristic "lavureddi"; on Maundy Thursday, the solemn mass with the washing of the feet was followed by the confreres' "Cena" and visits to the sepulchres. On Good Friday, the brotherhoods, with willow crowns, animated the adoration of the cross and the solemn evening procession of the dead Christ and the Sorrowful Mother. After the adoration on Holy Saturday, Easter Sunday brought the joyful procession of the Risen Jesus through the streets of the village.
