Edition 2025 — Holy Week in Randazzo
The 2025 edition confirmed the traditional sequence of Easter rites in Randazzo, spanning from Monday to Holy Saturday. The confraternities of Maria SS. Addolorata, Maria SS. Annunziata, the Archconfraternity of the Holy Crucifix, and the Archconfraternity of the Holy Souls in Purgatory managed their respective processions from the churches of San Pietro, the Annunziata, San Martino, and San Nicola.
As is customary, Good Friday represented the most heartfelt moment, with the evening procession of the statues through the historic center and poignant scenes such as the meeting between the Mother and the Son in Piazza San Giorgio. On Holy Saturday, the procession of the Dead Christ took place from the Church of San Nicola, concluding a week of intense popular devotion in the town of Randazzo, in the province of Catania.
