Edition 2025 — Holy Week in Corato

In 2025, Holy Week in Corato was celebrated with Good Friday on April 18 and Holy Saturday on April 19. The three penitential processions — Addolorata, Mysteries, and Pietà — re-enacted the city's secular rites, with the dawn departure of the Addolorata accompanied by the "Eterno dolore" march performed by the "Raffaele Miglietta" town band.

Holy Week 2025 in Corato

On Good Friday, April 18, 2025, the celebrations opened at dawn with the Procession of Maria SS.ma Addolorata: at 4:50 AM, the seven tolls of the troccola announced the departure, and at 5:00 AM, the statue left the San Giuseppe Parish to the notes of "Eterno dolore" by maestro Pasquale Quatrano, performed by the "Raffaele Miglietta" Corato town band, as per a tradition consolidated since 1974.

In the afternoon, at 6:00 PM, the Procession of the Mysteries traversed the city streets with the nine statues of the Passion; starting at 9:10 PM, from Via Luisa Piccarreta, the famous "lights out" route wound through the alleys of the historic center, concluding with the city-wide Stations of the Cross at 10:00 PM in the San Giuseppe square. Holy Saturday, April 19, was dedicated to the Procession of the Pietà, departing from the Santa Maria Greca Parish.
