Edition 2025 — Holy Week Calascibetta

In 2025, the Holy Week in Calascibetta once again renewed its secular rites, from Palm Sunday to Easter. The local confraternities, led by the Congregation of the Itria, accompanied the processions of the Signuruzzu, the Urn of the Dead Christ on Good Friday, and the traditional Easter Sunday 'Ncuntru in Piazza Umberto I, confirming the deep popular devotion of the Enna village.

The 2025 edition of the Holy Week in Calascibetta featured the entire cycle of the village's Easter rites. Starting from Palm Sunday, with the procession of u Signuruzzu da rama d'aliva and the blessing of olive branches in the Mother Church, the celebrations marked the days of Holy Week.

On Good Friday, the evening procession with the Urn of the Dead Christ and the Addolorata traversed the historic center accompanied by the confraternities, while on Easter Sunday, the 'Ncuntru rite in Piazza Umberto I drew faithful and visitors, renewing a tradition deeply rooted in the community of Calascibetta, in the province of Enna.
