Holy Week 2025 in Cerda

The 2025 edition reached its peak on Good Friday, April 18th, with the local Via Crucis and the Rincuontru between the statue of the Dead Christ and the Madonna Addolorata, the town's patron saint. The rites, accompanied by the town band with traditional funeral marches, took place in the squares of Cerda's historic center in the presence of numerous faithful. In the preceding days, the parish community, and in particular the youth, had brought to life the dramatization of the Passion of Christ. A season of strong popular participation which, despite inevitable organizational difficulties, reaffirmed how deeply rooted these rites are in the identity of Cerda and the province of Palermo.
