Holy Week and L'Incontru

The 2025 edition followed the usual calendar of Menfi's Easter rites: the Holy Sepulchres and the lavureddi on Holy Thursday, the procession of the deposed Christ and the Sorrowful Madonna on Good Friday, and, on Easter Sunday, the most anticipated moment of L'Incontru.

At noon, along Via della Vittoria, the community relived the meeting between the Madonna wrapped in her black mourning mantle, the Risen Christ, and the Archangel Saint Michael, with the traditional announcement repeated three times, the fall of the black mantle, the festive bells, the firecrackers, and the flying doves.
