Holy Week and Easter Rites of Mussomeli

The 2025 Holy Week in Mussomeli, which concluded with Easter on April 20, recorded a strong participation of faithful and visitors. Many emigrants returned to the town to embrace their families again and rediscover the roots of local religious traditions.

The rites of Holy Thursday and Good Friday, animated by the confraternities and parishes, drew large crowds, with a particularly heartfelt moment in Piazza Umberto I on Good Friday. On Easter Sunday, around 8:00 PM, the Annacata di li Santi took place, with the simulacrum of the Risen Christ of the Archconfraternity of the Most Holy Sacrament, Saint Michael of the Confraternity of Saint Henry, and the Easter Madonna, in the presence of civil, military, and religious authorities.
