Holy Week and Easter Processions

The 2025 Holy Week in Sciacca took place from Holy Thursday, April 17, to Easter Sunday, April 20, following the traditional pattern of the local Easter rites. The Masses of the Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday in the main city churches opened the Triduum celebrations.

Good Friday represented the heart of the week, with the procession of Our Lady of Sorrows from the Carmine Church, the Stations of the Cross towards the Calvary, and the evening procession of the urn with the Dead Christ through the historic center. Easter Sunday concluded with the joyful Encounters of the Resurrection in Piazza Scandaliato, a moment of celebration that brought together the entire community of Sciacca.
