Edition 2025 — Holy Family Festival

In 2025, the Holy Family Festival once again brought the district of the same name in Canicattì to life with its usual program of religious celebrations and popular events. The festival, organized by the parish and the Festivities Committee, featured masses, rosaries, the procession with the statue, and numerous recreational events, including the first edition of La Rietina with Sicilian carts, which was resumed and expanded in the following year.

The 2025 edition

The 2025 edition of the Holy Family Festival in Canicattì confirmed the formula that combines devotion and neighborhood festivities. Throughout the week of celebrations, daily holy masses and rosaries were held, along with Eucharistic adoration and the solemn procession with the statue of the Holy Family through the streets of the district.

On the popular side, the program offered traditional games, musical performances, and gastronomic moments. It was in 2025 that La Rietina made its debut, the parade of Sicilian carts accompanied by folk groups from the Agrigento area, which would be repeated in a second edition the following year. The festival thus reaffirmed its role as a key identity event for the community of this Canicattì district, in the province of Agrigento.
