Edition 2025 — Re-enactment of the Borlengo of Guiglia
2025 Edition — May 9 and 10
The 2025 edition of the Historical Re-enactment on the Birth of the Borlengo of Guiglia was held on the weekend of May 9 and 10, 2025, at Guiglia Castle. The event re-enacted the siege suffered by Count Ugolino, an episode linked to the birth of the borlengo.
In the castle courtyard, a fully visitable medieval camp was set up, with re-enactors engaged in demonstrations of ancient crafts, weaponry, and combat techniques. The public could watch and participate in archery and sword duel trials, take part in guided tours of the manor, and enjoy the animated medieval-themed lunch in the company of the count and his court. The event opened the "Maggio del Borlengo" calendar, which continued with the 55th Sagra del Borlengo on the weekends of May 23-24 and 30-31.
