Edition 2025 — Passion of Christ in Grassina

The 2025 edition of the Historical Re-enactment of the Passion of Christ took place in Grassina on Friday, April 18, 2025, the evening of Good Friday. Five hundred performers in period costumes brought the procession and the scenes on the Calvary hill to life, with an evocative tribute to the art of Giotto through a tableau vivant.

In 2025, the re-enactment was held on April 18, the evening of Good Friday, in the Municipality of Bagno a Ripoli. The procession passed through the streets of Grassina starting at 9:15 PM, under the direction of Alessio Antongiovanni and Susanna Forconi, while the scenes on the Calvary in the Bubè area began at 9:30 PM, directed by Daniele Torrini and Antonio Bernini. Among the new features, a tableau vivant inspired by a fresco by Giotto and the introduction of Herod's court along the procession route.
