Edition 2025 — Founding of Naxos Re-enactment
The Historical Re-enactment of the Founding of Naxos 2025 was held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, starting at 4:00 PM, in Giardini-Naxos. The event began with the landing on the seafront in front of Castello di Schisò and continued inside the Archaeological Park of Naxos.
Among the novelties of the edition was the participation in the historical procession of groups from Agrigento, Francavilla, Aidone-Morgantina, and Tripi-Abakainon: actors and extras animated a suggestive choreography among the ancient stones of Naxos, with the Ionian Sea in the background. The direction and texts were signed by Giovanni Bucolo, with live music, dances, and costumes curated by the same artistic ensemble. Admission to the archaeological site was free.
