Edition 2025 — At the Court of the Pallavicino

The 2025 edition of At the Court of the Pallavicino took place on Saturday, September 27, and Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the Pallavicino Castle of Varano de' Melegari. The castle once again came alive with the atmosphere of 1432, the year the fortress was about to be returned to the Pallavicino family after the Visconti rule. Knights, noble ladies, scribes, traders, weavers, guards, and archers animated the ancient rooms and halls with scenic settings, historical insights, and activities for children.

The 2025 edition of the re-enactment At the Court of the Pallavicino was held on September 27 and 28, 2025, at the Pallavicino Castle of Varano de' Melegari, in the province of Parma, with hours from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM on Saturday and from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM on Sunday.

The event, organized by the Cultural Association Oltre lo Specchio, recreated the setting of the year 1432, between the genuine congratulations for the return of the Pallavicino family and the inevitable courtly intrigues. The ancient rooms, corridors, and elegant halls of the fortress were animated by costumed re-enactors—knights, ladies, scribes, guards, archers, weavers, and merchants—accompanied by historical interpreters, scenic displays, and recreational activities for children. The event, sponsored by the Emilia-Romagna Region and the Municipalities of Parma and Varano de' Melegari, took place regularly even in case of bad weather.
