Edition 2025 — 1403 Re-enactment

The Castle of Monastero Bormida, in the Langa Astigiana, has been a reference point for years for historical re-enactments and theatrical tours of the Open Castles circuit. In the spring of 2025, the Del Carretto residence welcomed visitors and medieval enthusiasts as usual, amidst markets, costume parades, and period activities in the heart of the province of Asti.

The Castle of Monastero Bormida, in the province of Asti, has long been a protagonist of the Open Castles calendar in Piedmont with theatrical tours and medieval-themed days. In the 2025 season, the residence proposed, as in previous years, openings to the public and initiatives dedicated to the history of the village and the Del Carretto family.

The charm of the place — the Romanesque tower, the medieval bridge over the Bormida, and the Knights' Tower — served as a backdrop for guided tours and animation moments, anticipating the format of the great «1403» re-enactment which, starting in 2026, officially opens the season of events at the castle.
