Historical Palio of the Borghi of Avigliana

The 42nd edition of the Historical Palio of the Borghi of Avigliana concluded on Sunday, June 15, 2025, with great public success. The seven districts — Borgo Drubiaglio, Borgo Nuovo, Borgo Paglierino, Borgo Pertusera, Borgo San Pietro, Borgo Sant'Agostino, and Borgo Vecchio — competed in the traditional Palio trials.

The final Sunday featured the qualifying heats for the horse race at 17:00, archery competitions, and the final race that determined the winning district. Borgo Vecchio emerged victorious with Nicolò Chiara, ahead of Borgo Paglierino (second) and Borgo Nuovo (third). A community celebration that, in 2025 as well, filled the streets and squares of Avigliana, in the Metropolitan City of Turin, with costumes, drums, and medieval tradition.
