Edition 2025 — Coumba Freida Carnival Valpelline

In January 2025, Valpelline celebrated the Historical Carnival of the Coumba Freida with landzette in Napoleonic costumes parading through hamlets and the main town amidst dances, house visits, and traditional rites, as part of the valley's carnival events.

In January 2025, the Historical Carnival of the Coumba Freida also animated Valpelline, in the province of Aosta. The landzette, with their colorful costumes reminiscent of Napoleonic uniforms, paraded through the village from hamlet to hamlet, entering homes, dancing in the streets, and keeping alive the ancient community ritual that characterizes this Alpine carnival. The day concluded, as tradition dictates, with the masked dinner, in an atmosphere of celebration and strong Aosta Valley identity.
