Edition 2025 — Carnival of San Pietro in Casale

In 2025, the Historical Carnival of San Pietro in Casale once again brought the traditional parades of floats, with masks, confetti, and costumed groups, to the center of the Bolognese town. As every year, the festival concluded with the reading of King Sandròn Spaviròn's will and the burning of the mask, a ritual that for over a century has marked the end of the San Pietro Carnival.

The 2025 edition of the Historical Carnival of San Pietro in Casale renewed the carnival tradition alive in the Municipality since 1871. The parades of floats traversed the historic center on two Sundays, accompanied by masks, music, and the distribution of confetti and sweets to the audience of all ages.

The free event concluded with its most iconic moments: the reading of the will in dialect rhyme by the mask Sandròn Spaviròn and the burning of the effigy in the square, accompanied by the drawing of lottery prizes. An event that confirms the Carnival of San Pietro in Casale among the most cherished in the Bolognese plain, in Emilia-Romagna.
