Historical Carnival of Offida

The 2025 edition celebrated the 501st carnival, the first after the historic half-millennium milestone. Opening on January 17 for Sant'Antonio, the festival gained momentum starting from the Sunday of Friends on February 16. On Fat Thursday, February 27, the city key was entrusted to the Congrega della Guazza at the Teatro Serpente Aureo, followed by the "Children in Masks" event. The race of 'lu Bov Fint' was held on Friday, February 28, in the usual three versions (children at 9:00 AM, teenagers at 10:00 AM, adults at 2:30 PM). The grand finale, on Fat Tuesday, March 4, saw the lighting of the 'Vlurd' at 7:00 PM in Piazza del Popolo, closing the festival with the traditional fire ritual.
