Historical Carnival of Coumba Freida – Roisan

In 2025, the Historical Carnival of Coumba Freida returned to colour the streets of Roisan, in Valpelline. The Landzette, with their costumes adorned with mirrors and tassels, paraded through the main village and its hamlets, entering houses, dancing in the squares, and sharing food and drinks with the community. As every year, the festival renewed an ancient rite that connects generations and tells the alpine identity of this corner of the Province of Aosta, in anticipation of the fortieth anniversary in 2026.
