Edition 2025 — Carnival of Avola
The 2025 edition of the Historical Carnival of Avola, the 62nd in its modern history, brought back to the city center the elements that have made this event in the Province of Syracuse famous for decades. The grand parades featured allegorical floats in papier-mâché and traditional floral floats, accompanied by masked groups and dance schools along the route of Piazza Umberto I.
There was no shortage of the dialect poetry competition and events dedicated to families and children. As per tradition, the festivities concluded with the burning of King Carnival on Shrove Tuesday.
