Edition 2025 — Historia Viva

The 3rd edition of Historia Viva took place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, starting at 4:00 PM in Piazza Bilancia, Volturara Appula. The re-enactment, promoted by the Terrànima Cultural Association with the patronage of the Municipality and Borghi Autentici d'Italia, reconstructed the 1497 celebration in costume, linked to Bishop Alessandro Geraldini and the gift of eels from Lesina, featuring musicians, flag-wavers, dancers, and performers.

The third edition of Historia Viva animated the historic center of Volturara Appula on Saturday, October 18, 2025, starting at 4:00 PM in Piazza Bilancia. The event, organized by the Terrànima Cultural Association with the patronage of the Municipality of Volturara Appula and the Borghi Autentici d'Italia, re-proposed the re-enactment of the 1497 celebration linked to Bishop Alessandro Geraldini and the ancient custom of the gift of eels from Lake Lesina.

The Monti Dauni village transformed into a living Renaissance painting thanks to musicians, flag-wavers, dancers, and performers in costume. The event featured associations and re-enactment groups from neighboring towns, including Pietra Montecorvino, Lucera, and Torremaggiore, in an afternoon of history, entertainment, and tradition open to all for free.
