Edition 2025 — Hidden Flavors
Hidden Flavors is a recurring spring event in Villa Badessa, a hamlet of the Municipality of Rosciano in the province of Pescara. The festival celebrates the dual Abruzzese and Arbëreshë identity of the village, the only Italo-Albanian community in Abruzzo, founded in 1743. In Piazza Skanderbeg, the heart of the village, visitors can discover the food and wine excellence of the region alongside traditional Albanian-Byzantine dishes, such as tepsi.
The event program usually includes tastings with local producers, live music, workshops for children, and guided tours of the Greek-Byzantine church of Santa Maria Assunta and the village museum, organized by the Villa Badessa Cultural Association.
