Edition 2025 — Hidden Flavors

Hidden Flavors confirms itself as a recurring spring event in Villa Badessa, a hamlet of Rosciano (PE) and the only Arbëreshë community in Abruzzo. As in subsequent editions, the festival brought Piazza Skanderbeg to life with tastings of typical Abruzzese products and traditional Albanian-Byzantine dishes, guided tours of the Greek-Byzantine church and the museum, live music, and activities for families.

Hidden Flavors is a recurring spring event in Villa Badessa, a hamlet of the Municipality of Rosciano in the province of Pescara. The festival celebrates the dual Abruzzese and Arbëreshë identity of the village, the only Italo-Albanian community in Abruzzo, founded in 1743. In Piazza Skanderbeg, the heart of the village, visitors can discover the food and wine excellence of the region alongside traditional Albanian-Byzantine dishes, such as tepsi.

The event program usually includes tastings with local producers, live music, workshops for children, and guided tours of the Greek-Byzantine church of Santa Maria Assunta and the village museum, organized by the Villa Badessa Cultural Association.
