Hidden Bussento International Expedition

The 2025 season is part of a multi-year research path on the Bussento karst system, in southern Cilento, carried out by Tetide APS with the "Obiettivo Bussento" project and the involvement of the Municipality of Morigerati.

Explorations conducted in previous years, including cave diving in the terminal sump of the Bussento Sinkhole, had already shown that the cave continues beyond the debris, opening new exploratory scenarios. It is precisely these results that motivated the organization of the 2026 international campaign, which brings together speleologists and cave divers from different countries in Morigerati.

For the summer of 2025, no public sources are available documenting the dates and program of an international expedition on the Bussento: the sheet is therefore maintained for the sake of historical continuity of the project, pending any reports published by the organizers.
