Herbstfest der Schützenkompanie Schenna — Schenna Autumn Festival

The 2025 Edition

On September 20, 2025, Schenna hosted the annual Herbstfest of the Schützenkompanie Erzherzog Johann. At 2:30 PM, the Festumzug began—the festive procession with floats decorated in the colors and fruits of autumn, groups in traditional costumes (Tracht), and brass bands that brought the village streets above Merano to life.

The festival, held in Raiffeisen Square, combined live music, South Tyrolean culinary specialties, and a good glass of local wine, marking the end of the grape harvest and the official opening of the Törggelen season, the ancient custom of tasting new wine.
