The 2025 Edition

The local Ciociaria press documented the 2025 edition of the Harvest Festival in Roccasecca, once again proposed by Antonio Pulcini, who, at over eighty years old, continues to preserve the gestures of traditional agricultural work.

The day began at 8:00 AM in the Tore area, along Via del Miglio: several reapers moved through the field with sickles, gradually composing the bundles of stalks that are called «regne» in the local dialect. At 1:00 PM, the break took place, with everyone sitting around a long table and eating food prepared by local women with typical homemade products, just as it was done in the past.

The afternoon was enlivened by music and dancing, with a performance by Maestro Gianni De Angelis. At the end of the cutting, all the regne were gathered into a single sheaf, awaiting the threshing, which was then carried out in July with vintage machinery.
