Hangartfest – International Festival of Contemporary Dance

The XXII edition of Hangartfest was held in Pesaro from September 5th to 21st, 2025, with myth as the central theme: a vital force generating contemporary images, visions, and languages.

The program brought together 24 events – including world premieres, national premieres, co-productions, special projects, encores, and off-program events – with 18 performances (including encores) presented by 13 companies, of which 5 were national premieres and 3 co-productions. In its widespread festival format, the edition animated the National Rossini Museum, the Antonia Pallerini Hall of Palazzo Gradari, and, for the third year, Villa Imperiale with site-specific performances in the San Bartolo Park.

The opening, on Friday, September 5th, at La Maddalena, featured the world premiere of Honeymoon, a solo by Swiss choreographer Sebastian Zuber blending contemporary dance and multimedia languages. On Sunday, September 7th, resident choreographer Michele Ifigenia Colturi presented the world premiere of Atteone, Prologo, the first chapter of his three-year residency (2025-2027).
