Halloween in the Woods 2025
The 2025 edition was held on Friday, October 31, 2025, in the Gran Sasso beech forests, starting from the village of Pretara, in the municipality of Isola del Gran Sasso d'Italia (Teramo province). The meeting was set for 3:30 PM, with the hike starting at 4:00 PM.
The route, approximately 6 kilometers long with a hiking difficulty (E) and 150 meters of elevation gain, wound through the beech trees of the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park at sunset. At 6:30 PM, the fire was lit for trapper-style cooking, followed by a night return under a starry sky, ending around 9:00 PM. The participation fee was 25 euros per person, plus the cost of food shared among participants. The event was organized by Escursioni Abruzzo - Emozioni in Natura.
