Edition 2025 — Six Nations in Rome

In 2025, Rome's Stadio Olimpico exceptionally hosted three home matches for Italy in the Guinness Six Nations: Italy vs. Wales on February 8, Italy vs. France on February 23, and Italy vs. Ireland on March 15. For the first time in the tournament's history, the capital was also chosen as the official launch city for the entire edition, with a wide campaign of events spread throughout the city.

Three days at the Olimpico

The 2025 edition of the Guinness Six Nations was particularly generous to Rome: the calendar assigned three of the national team's five matches to the capital. On Saturday, February 8, at 3:15 PM, Italy beat Wales 22-15, securing its only success of the tournament; on Sunday, February 23, at 4:00 PM, a heavy defeat against France followed (24-73); on Saturday, March 15, at 3:15 PM, the Azzurri closed against Ireland, losing 17-22 but earning a defensive bonus point after playing forty minutes with a numerical disadvantage.

Rome as the launch city

For the first time, the tournament chose Rome as the venue for the official presentation of the edition, with promotional events spread throughout the historic center and the usual Third Half Village set up at the Foro Italico. In the final standings, Italy finished in fifth place with 5 points, ahead of Wales.
