Guido d'Arezzo International Polyphonic Competition

The 73rd edition of the Guido d'Arezzo International Polyphonic Competition was held from August 19 to 24, 2025, in the usual venues of the Arezzo historic center. The edition was dedicated in particular to the 500th anniversary of the birth of Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina (1525-1594), with a monographic section and an exceptional inaugural program.

Numerous amateur choirs from various continents took part in the competition, including groups from the Philippines, Estonia, Hong Kong, Belgium, China, and Italy, who competed in the various competition sections and the Gran Premio Città di Arezzo. As every year, the performances took place between the Cathedral, the Church of San Domenico, and the Teatro Petrarca, before an international jury and a large audience, confirming Arezzo's role as the European capital of choral music.
