Edition 2025 — Guardiagrele Opera

The eleventh edition of Guardiagrele Opera, in the summer of 2025, offered a journey from Scarlatti to Pink Floyd, spanning opera, oratorio, and symphonic reinterpretations of pop music. The program, directed by Maurizio Colasanti, reached the Abbey of San Liberatore a Maiella, the Cloister of the Municipality of Guardiagrele, and Piazza San Francesco, featuring young singers selected by audition.

Guardiagrele Opera 2025

The 2025 edition of the festival, the eleventh, took place in Guardiagrele (CH) and the towns of the Maiella between July and August, confirming its vocation to unite the great repertoire with the Abruzzo landscape.

Key events included:

  • July 20 – "Cain, overo il primo omicidio" by Alessandro Scarlatti, an oratorio at the Abbey of San Liberatore a Maiella (Serramonacesca), featuring young singers selected from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome.
  • July 24 – Concert by Setak, blending dialect and poetry.
  • July 30 – "Socrate" by Erik Satie at the Cloister of the Municipality of Guardiagrele, conducted by Maurizio Colasanti.
  • August 4-5 – "Mozart Forever" and the symphonic show "Pink Floyd Legend".
  • August 10 – "The Daughter of the Regiment" by Gaetano Donizetti in Piazza San Francesco.

An edition that reaffirmed the role of Guardiagrele Opera as a reference festival for classical music in the province of Chieti.
