Edition 2025 — Guardia Carnival
2025 was the debut year: two days of festivities, March 1st and 9th, to bring allegorical floats back to the streets of Guardia Sanframondi.
Saturday, March 1st, the official opening at 2:30 PM, with the first parade of some floats departing from Piazza Castello along Via Municipio and Via Parallela, arriving in Piazza Municipio around 4:00 PM. From 8:30 PM, the party moved to the courtyard of the medieval Castle with DJ sets and a masquerade ball.
Sunday, March 9th, the gathering was scheduled for 2:00 PM at the Padre Pio parking lot, in the Rione Fontanella, and at 3:00 PM the parade of all floats began: fourteen in total, with delegations arriving from Cerreto Sannita, San Lorenzo Maggiore, and Ponte. The day concluded with the awarding, by a jury, of the three floats judged to be the most beautiful and representative.
The balance of the edition, reported by the local Sannio press, was very positive and convinced the town's associations to repeat the event the following year.
