Edition 2025 — Gualdo Cattaneo August-September

The 2025 edition of the Gualdo Cattaneo August-September Festival brought Gualdo Cattaneo back to the Middle Ages, with the challenge between the Monte, Pieve, and Rocca districts, historical pageants, taverns, and the traditional Climbing Palio on a reproduction of the Rocca dei Borgia, in front of a crowd that filled the historic center.

In 2025, the Gualdo Cattaneo August-September Festival once again animated the fortified village of Gualdo Cattaneo, in the province of Perugia, for ten days. The three Monte, Pieve, and Rocca districts competed in medieval-themed events—carts, archery, barrel racing—while the historical pageant paraded with ladies, knights, musicians, and jesters. The taverns offered traditional Gualdo dishes and local wines. The grand finale was the Climbing Palio, the race of carriers with a reproduction of the Rocca dei Borgia to the main square.
