Edition 2025 — GrottaStellata
GrottaStellata 2025 — Cinema Beyond Illusion
The 2025 edition of GrottaStellata, the fourth of the festival, was held from July 14 to 20, 2025, at the Giardini di Patmos in Grottaferrata, with screenings every evening at 8:45 PM and free admission upon reservation.
The guiding theme, declared in the subtitle Cinema Beyond Illusion, brought together films that unmask media constructions and question identity: it opened with The Truman Show, followed by Spotlight, the documentary No Other Land, The Matrix, Joker, Howl's Moving Castle, and, in closing, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. The festival was curated by the Associazione Archè APS with the Grottaferrata Youth Council, L'Anima Conta, and the Pro Loco, with the patronage of the Municipality.
