The 2025 Grottaferrata Carnival
The 2025 edition opened on Thursday, February 27, with a gathering at 2:30 PM in Piazza Giordano Bruno and the start, at 3:00 PM, of the masked parade led by the "Gli Sbandati" percussion band from Monte Porzio Catone; the arrival in Piazza Cavour was accompanied by baby dance and musical entertainment.
On Sunday, March 2, the day began at 11:00 AM with an inclusive film screening at Cinema Alfellini, designed for children with autism spectrum disorders and neurodivergence, while in the afternoon, Piazza Cavour hosted puppet theater, taranta dances, and musical entertainment.
On Tuesday, March 4, Shrove Tuesday, the gathering returned to Piazza Giordano Bruno at 2:30 PM, with the parade starting at 3:00 PM led by the Giacomo Puccini Musical Association, arriving at Piazzale San Nilo Superiore, where the Carnival Village was set up with the Circo di Didy e Carlotta. The festival closed with the traditional funeral rite of Pulcinella. All events were free to attend.
