Greccio Carnival

The return of the Carnival to Greccio

On Sunday, March 2, 2025, the Carnival returned to Greccio after years of absence. The gathering was scheduled for 2:00 PM in Piazza Giovanni Paolo II, in the hamlet of Limiti di Greccio, from where the procession of floats and costumed groups traveled through the village streets.

The machine of confetti, floats, and costumes was set in motion thanks to the energy and creativity of the local youth, who dedicated months to the preparation. The invitation to participate was extended to all costumed groups and floats in the area.

The initiative was organized by the Greccio Futura Cultural Association with the decisive contribution of the Pro Loco of Greccio and the patronage of the Municipality of Greccio. Tourism Councilor Fiorenzo Marchetti described the event as «a community celebration, an opportunity to experience our traditions together with joy and serenity». Participation was free and open to all.
