The 2025 Frog Festival

The Great Frog Festival returned to Ortucchio on Saturday, August 9, 2025, in the setting of the Ortigia pond. The event, organized by the Pro Loco Ortigia in collaboration with the Municipality of Ortucchio, opened its food stalls at 7:00 PM, featuring a culinary showcase dedicated to fried frogs and other typical flavors of the Marsica region.

At 9:00 PM, the stage by the lake hosted a concert by the Hurricane, the official Pooh tribute band, which accompanied the evening alongside street food and local gastronomic offerings. It was an open-air evening designed for families, young people, and visitors, confirming the festival as one of the most anticipated events of the Ortucchio summer in the province of L'Aquila.
