Edition 2025 — GravinaFestival

The 8th edition of GravinaFestival kicked off on June 14, 2025, at the Pinacoteca of the E. P. Santomasi Foundation in Gravina in Puglia (BA), with an event dedicated to the numismatic heritage of Magna Graecia for the European Archaeology Days. The exhibition of coins from the Santomasi collection and contributions from scholars and archaeologists opened a festival that weaves together history, art, and research in the Murgia region.

The eighth edition of GravinaFestival, the art and heritage event promoted by the Associazione Amici della Fondazione Ettore Pomarici Santomasi, opened on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the Pinacoteca of the E. P. Santomasi Foundation in Gravina in Puglia, on the occasion of the European Archaeology Days.

The 2025 edition was dedicated to the enhancement of numismatic heritage, with the exhibition "Coins of Magna Graecia from the numismatic collection of the E. P. Santomasi Foundation," open on June 14 and 15. The inaugural meeting featured Prof. Marisa D'Agostino (president of the Association), Prof. Aldo Siciliano (president of the Institute for the History and Archaeology of Magna Graecia), Dr. Stefania Montanaro (archaeologist of the National Superintendency of Taranto), and Prof. Filippo Tarantino (president of the Foundation).

In 2025, the festival once again confirmed its commitment to bridging scientific research and public outreach, bringing the archaeology and history of the Murgia territory to the forefront for citizens and visitors.
