Edition 2025 — Lanuvio Grape Festival
The 43rd edition, September 13-14, 2025
The 2025 edition of the Grape, Wine and Medieval Festival brought the historic center of Lanuvio, in the Castelli Romani, to life for the entire weekend. Saturday, September 13, opened at 4:30 PM with the medieval historical procession from Villa Sforza Cesarini to Piazza Carlo Fontana, followed by a knightly duel and a meeting dedicated to wine in history, with a medieval-themed tasting. From 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the "Divinamente Lanuvio" tasting route took place, while the evening continued with dance performances, live music, and a night-time guided tour of the Museo Diffuso.
Sunday, September 14, began with a blood drive in the square and, in the morning, the medieval encampment at Villa Sforza Cesarini: archery tournament, falconry, and children's workshops. In the afternoon, the two most anticipated moments: the barrel race along Via Roma with the medieval procession, and the grape stomping accompanied by folk songs. The event concluded with an evening concert in Piazza Carlo Fontana and a fire dance show.
The event, organized by the Municipality of Lanuvio, was free to enter, with only wine tastings accessible via ticket.
