Graniti Cherry Festival (Ciliegiando)

2025 Edition

The 2025 edition of the Graniti Cherry Festival took place in June, following the event's established formula. The days featured the opening of producer stands for cherries — starring the Acquavene variety — and local gastronomic products, alongside the town's typical wine. There was no shortage of Passeggiando ciliegiando walks starting from the Mazzullo Museum through the historic center and Graniti's famous murals, nor the arrival of the Sicilian cart with music and folk costumes, and performances by folk groups in Piazza Manganelli. The event, organized by the Pro Loco Graniti in the Metropolitan City of Messina, confirmed its role as a showcase for the Alcantara Valley region.

The event was spread over two days in Piazza Manganelli and the historic center: a conference on cherry varieties in the morning, opening of producer and local product stands (10:30 AM - 8:00 PM), Passeggiando ciliegiando guided walks from the Mazzullo Museum, arrival of the Sicilian cart in the late afternoon, and performances by folk groups and the band in the evening.
