The 2025 leap in quality

The 2025 edition marked an important milestone for the Granfondo degli Erei: the event, which started the previous year as an ACSi event, came under the aegis of the Italian Cycling Federation, hosting the final round of the East Interprovincial Championship and the fourth stage of the ACSi Sicilia Regional MTB Challenge.

The 42-kilometer course with 1,200 meters of elevation gain, developed on dirt roads and single tracks at an altitude of about 500 meters in the Erei Mountains, crossed the territories of San Michele di Ganzaria and Caltagirone. The event, organized by ASD Aquila Ganzaria and ASD Eagle Bike Caltagirone with the support of the municipal administration, also received national television coverage thanks to the program "Due Ruote a Sud" on Bike Channel.
