The first edition of 2025
The 1st Gran Trail della Brigantessa was held on Sunday, June 15, 2025, in Sante Marie, in the heart of Abruzzo. The start was given at 9:00 AM from Piazza Aldo Moro, with athletes gathering from 7:30 AM. The 21-kilometer course with 630 meters of elevation gain led participants through the chestnut groves and along the trails of the Cammino dei Briganti, retracing the path of the Corradino trail.
Organized by ASD Parks Trail La Brigantessa with the Municipality of Sante Marie and included in the national UISP calendar and the Corri Marsica circuit, the event combined sport, culture, and tourism, with a final refreshment point, pasta party, showers, medical assistance, and awards for top finishers and age categories.
