2025 Edition of the Gran Sasso Summer Festival

In 2025, the Gran Sasso Summer Festival, organized by the Aquila Film Festival, was held from August 1st to 9th with events distributed between L'Aquila (Palazzo Cappa Cappelli), Campo Imperatore, and Castel del Monte, within the Gran Sasso area in the Province of L'Aquila.

The program offered film screenings and documentaries dedicated to the mountains and the environment, including Fino alle montagne, Una Barca in Giardino, Yaya e Lennie, and Yuku e il Fiore dell'Himalaya, as well as book presentations, photography hikes in search of chamois, and tastings of local products. That year, the festival did not include a stop in Santo Stefano di Sessanio, a village it has enlivened in other editions. Admission was free with an ethical ticket.
