Edition 2025 — Gran Sasso MTB Marathon
The Gran Sasso MTB Marathon 2025 was held on Sunday, July 6, in Castel del Monte, starting at 9:30 AM from Via della Vittoria. The race, dedicated to the memory of Angelo D'Onofrio and part of the Abruzzo MTB Cup, featured a marathon of approximately 62 km (with over 2000 meters of total elevation gain) and a granfondo race of approximately 44 km.
The track led participants through the Bosco Cabonieri, the Prati di Cretarola, and the villages of Rocca Calascio and Santo Stefano di Sessanio, confirming the event as one of the most appreciated in the Abruzzo mountain bike scene.
