Gran Fondo Diablo - Val Formazza

In 2025, the Granfondo El Diablo - Val Formazza concluded the season of the Coppa Piemonte Drali circuit, confirming its status as one of the toughest and most fascinating events in the Piedmontese amateur calendar. The race, organized by the Ossola Cycling Team in the municipality of Formazza (VB), was held on Sunday, September 14, covering the usual 112 km with 2,100 meters of elevation gain and a finish in Riale at an altitude of 1,730 meters.

The course featured steady 8-9% gradients between Foppiano, Ponte, and Canza, with a section reminiscent of Marco Pantani's famous attack during the 19th stage of the 2003 Giro d'Italia. On Saturday, the L'Ultimo Scatto time trial (13.4 km) preceded the event, while the awards ceremony took place on Sunday afternoon. The edition also featured the Cycling4Climate initiative dedicated to environmental sustainability.
