Edition 2025 — Veglie Government Fair

The 190th edition of the Government Fair of Saint Francis of Paola was held in Veglie on June 1, 2025. The day was marked by the solemn Holy Mass in the Mother Church and the procession with the saint's statue, accompanied by the town band along a long route through the streets to the Church of Saint Francis.

In 2025, the 190th Government Fair of Saint Francis of Paola renewed a tradition in Veglie that has lasted nearly two centuries. The celebration began at 7:00 PM with the solemn Holy Mass in the Mother Church, followed by the procession with the statue of the saint, accompanied by the "Antonio Regno" Band Association of the City of Veglie. The procession traveled through numerous streets of the center—including Via San Giovanni, Via San Biagio, Via Salice, Via Risorgimento, and Via Calvario—to conclude at the Church of Saint Francis. As per tradition, the religious event was accompanied by the market fair and civil festivities that enliven the town on this occasion.
