Good Friday Procession (Via Crucis)

The 2025 edition of the Good Friday Procession in Scurcola Marsicana was held on April 18, 2025. The rain did not stop the traditional Via Crucis: from the morning, the confraternities followed the traditional route of the seven churches, crossing the streets of the medieval village, accompanied by ancient chants intoned by the brothers. Hundreds of faithful, also coming from nearby towns, took part in one of the most deeply felt rites of Holy Week in Abruzzo, in an atmosphere of profound devotion shared between grandparents, parents, and children. At the end, the community gathered at the confraternity headquarters for the traditional convivial moment.
