Edition 2025 — Good Friday Valguarnera

In 2025, the Holy Week of Valguarnera Caropepe opened with Palm Sunday on April 13 and culminated in the Good Friday procession of the Dead Christ on April 18. From the Mother Church, the urn was carried on shoulders through the streets of the town, accompanied by the Popolo Meo chant, the float of Our Lady of Sorrows supported by women in black, and the municipal band, in an atmosphere of intense popular participation.

The 2025 edition featured a Holy Week full of events. Palm Sunday (April 13), with the re-enactment of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem animated by the Big Aretè association and the «Amici della Musica» group, opened the celebrations through the streets of the center.

Holy Thursday featured the solemn mass, the translation of the Ecce Homo statue from the church of San Giuseppe to that of San Liborio, and the visit to the altars of repose with the Confraternity of Saint Francis. On Good Friday, April 18, the procession of the Dead Christ took place with the Popolo Meo chant, the bearers in purple capes, and women in black following Our Lady of Sorrows. The celebrations concluded with the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday and the Holy Mass on Easter Sunday in Valguarnera Caropepe, in the province of Enna.
