Holy Week 2025 in Santa Caterina Villarmosa

The 2025 edition took place during Holy Week, culminating in Easter on April 20th. On Holy Thursday, the square hosted the Last Supper Table, while at dawn on Good Friday, the procession of Our Lady of Sorrows and the Sacred Urn wound through the village streets, accompanied by the polyphonic singing of the ladatori and the lamentations of the Nisseno tradition.

On Easter Sunday, the rites concluded with the handing over of the city keys from the Captain to the Mayor and the release of white doves. The 2025 Good Friday procession was documented and shared by the Madonna delle Grazie Festival Committee on social media, testifying to how deeply this tradition is felt by the community.
